It has been brought to my attention that I have not posted on my blog in quite awhile. So, here is an little update as to what has been going on. A few weekends ago, my cousin Kate got married! The wedding was small and beautiful and the reciption was fun and delicious! I was in charge of taking pictures of the wedding and am in the current proccess of editing them, all 200 of them. On top of that I am trying to work out 3 days a week, Monday, Wednesday and Friday. I bought a Groupon on line for some personal training sessions and they are going well. Work is going well too. We are getting ready for out Pre-K graduation which is always a bitter sweet time. As much as I want to pull my hair out with the kids sometimes, I love them so much and miss them when they head off to Kindergarten.
I feel like Emery has grown so much in just the past few months. Her speech is getting much better and her sentence structure. She still needs some help on some things, but most people can understand her when she slows down and thinks about what she is saying. We got her a Leap Pad for Christmas and I want to shout my recommendations from a rooftop! She recognizes letters, numbers, colors and is learning some spanish! I'm astounded with her letter knowledge. She loves to play it too! Emery has started gymnastics and loves it as well! She looks like a little monkey out there on all the equipment and swinging on the bars. Her teacher is very nice and she has a great little class. We also signed Emery up for soccer this spring! I am beyond excited for this! One of the best parts of this, is her games are literally right across the street from us in the field! Haha, we will just walk across the street to the games. We went last weekend and got her some cleats and shin guards. She is going to look so freaking cute! I can't stand it! So we go across the street and practice kicking and dribbling the ball a lot on nice days. We also have to practice not picking up the ball with our hands. If I have it my way, this girl will be a forward or a mid-fielder. She's so fast.Campbell. Oh geez, this kid. Let me tell you. I'm not sure he ever stopped to be a baby. He is just freshly 6 months old and is crawling, pulling up, and gibbering up a storm! He has two bottom teeth and 4 teeth buds on the top that are ready to come in. He just recently decided that he no longer likes to be held or rocked to sleep. He would much rather just be laid in his crib to play and then fall asleep on his own. We have had to cover the entire entertainment stand with soft foam because this is Campbells favorite place to play and try and pull up on. He has taken quite a few spills too of course because the Dr. said that even though it is great he is so advanced and doing all this so early, he is not mentally ready to make good choices on what to pull up on and his balance and stuff. We have tried some solid foods with Campbell, like pureed sweet potatoes, squash and carrots, but he doesn't seem to be too much of a fan. But we keep trying. The kid is huge too! Last time we went to the doctor, he was 16 pounds! So he is already half of Emery's weight. I know he is my kid and all too, but he is such a looker! Both kids are really. Kind of scared for them to grow up. The good thing with Campbell is I have a very good eye for good girls. His poor girlfriends will know it if I don't like them. Ask my brother. I did the same thing with him. I'm kinda protective of my boys I guess. As I'm sure Dave will be about Emery and the boys she brings home. Or tries to anyway.
Anyway, so that is whats going on here. I realized when looking for pics for this post that I have not taken hardly ANY this month! So I'm going to get my camera out and start shooting more pics of the kids and maybe even Dave and me =)
